After having done cover versions of 60s classics like "White Rabbit" and "It's All Too Much", I'm back with a new composition of my own called "Food for Gods". The name is inspired by theobromine, the active ingredient in cocoa, a stimulant I love.

Theobromine is derived from Ancient Greek θεός theós 'god' and βρῶμα brōma 'food'. So some kind of food for the gods. Despite the topic of cocoa, I couldn't resist using a mushroom as the cover image as this is also a kind of food for gods, at least in the psychedelic mushroom versions.

And by the way, I created the mushroom picture with the Mid-Journey software, an artificial intelligence, which is now on everyone's lips. The upheavals by AI that are coming now to us will be huge, and they will come much faster than most expect. It may even be that the much talked about Singularity will occur this or next year, that moment when the technical development will be uncontrollable and irreversible.

"Food for Gods" doesn't have the usual structure of intro, verse, chorus and repeat - it keeps evolving from one musical theme to the other. My favorite part is the last third with the euphoric guitar solo, but I also enjoy the whole rest - I hope you do too!
